Meeting point, Salford Museum and Art Gallery, The Crescent, Salford, M5 4WW 10.30 am
A lovely riverside walk through Peel Park, along the River and through the new flood catchment area, through Kersal Dale and return.
We are hoping that the statue of Joseph Brotherton will be erected in Peel Park in time for the walk. Also that the flood catchment will be open in time - proposed opening January 2018. If not, we will walk an alternative route around the old Castle Irwell racecourse. Please wear appropriate footwear as it will be muddy in Kersal Dale
Refreshments & toilets at Salford Museum and Art Gallery
Leisurely. Will be muddy in places. Approx. 5 miles. Not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs
